Playing in the snow!!!!

The past few days have been quite exciting for us. We got about 6.5 to 7 inches of snow! Which is a pretty good amount for where I live. So of course we had to go out and play. Here are some pictures of us just being goof balls in the snow!

We did go for a walk around the neighborhood and I took some pictures so I’ll have those up soon!

The Barre Class Was Amazing+Update

So in my last post I talked about going to a barre class and it was amazing!

We did ballet cardio to up beat music which was really cool. We also did abs and light weights, I was sore afterwards.

The class will be starting in February and I’m definitely going to go.

If you want to find out more about these classes here is a link to the Cardio Barre website.

So a little update. I’ve been working really hard at school so I can graduate this year. I’m taking an online math course at the local community college. It’s going pretty good, although there have been days of tears I think I’m doing pretty good. I only got 1 question wrong on my quiz and assignment yesterday! So that kind of boosted my confidence!

I am a little disappointed that I haven’t been keeping up with the blog as much as I’d like but I’m going to start working harder at it. I want to do better posts and put more pictures in them.

Well, theirs my update for now. Hope everyone’s having a great day! 🙂

Holla for 2014!

So it’s 2014! Crazy huh? But I’m so ready for it. 2013 was a tough year and I’m glad that it’s over. But my high light from 2013 was being in the Nutcracker! It was an amazing experience and we worked so hard on it. People thought it was phenomenal! I also made some great relationships and memories that I’ll have forever!

But I’m so excited for 2014! Some awesome things are gonna happen this year. To name a few: I’m turning 18 in 95 days!! I’ll be getting my drivers license, We’ll be moving to a new house (which I’m super excited for), I’ll be getting a job to start saving money. I have a feeling 2014 will be an amazing year!

Those are just a few of things I will be doing this year. And I’ll be writing post on all of those! One of my goals for this year is to post on the blog 3x a week.

I rang in the new year by going free running with my brothers and some of our friends. It was a wonderful day! But cold. Not super cold it was like 40-45 degrees. But my toes were frozen, frozen I say. I came home and the first thing I did was heat up my leopard print, fuzzy, lavender scented booties that you put in the microwave. They felt so good!

All my activities start again on Monday and it’s back to life. It was nice to have a break but I’m ready to get back to things!

My Grand Scheme (As of right now)

So being a senior in high school  this year it’s time to start thinking about  what I want to do after I graduate. By the way, it’s only 169 days till I’m 18!! Woop Woop!! Any way, back to the point.

Traveling has always been a HUGE dream of mine. I want to see the world. I want to climb to the top of Mt Everest, and jump of the cliffs in Cancun,  go skiing in the Alps, hike to Machu Pichu, visit the places where Harry Potter was filmed, walk on the Great Wall of China,  and go to the little town in Italy where my great-great grandfather was from and know that he looked at the same views I’m looking at and find some long lost Italian relatives, and so, so, so much more!

So as you can see I DON’T want to sit behind a desk from 9 to 5. Their for I want a job that travels with me, something I can do from anywhere in the world.

So I stared thinking and I came up with photographer, graphic designer, writer, and blogger. These are all things that I love. Well I actually don’t like the writing as much as the other stuff but the more I do it the more I’m liking it.

My plan after high school is to go to my local community college and get a 2 year degree in Advertising and Graphic Design. Plus get a job and start saving my money. I don’t know what kind of job yet, but I’m thinking lifeguarding and working behind the desk at our local fitness center.

And then when I have enough money I’ll pack up and go travel the world for however long I feel like. I would also love to try living in NYC after I’m done traveling.

And, somewhere in all this craziness, find a guy that wants to travel the world with me, and will be my best friend and we’ll have an amazing life together!

So right now I’m gonna do everything I can to work towards these goals.

The Diavolo Class was AMAZING!

So the Diavolo class was EPIC! It was so much fun!! The people that taught the class were so amazing and nice. They’re names are Chisa and Esra.

I would love to take another class with them some day and be like “Hey, I took your class like 5 years ago in Franklin” lol! I don’t know if that will happen but it would be pretty cool if it did.

My favorite thing about the class was that we got to run up these wooded ramps and then slide down them, and we got to slide down them from the very top too!

My amazing dance family! Esra is on the far left in all black. Cheesa is far right in the tank top. And the girl with the grey jacket also helped teach the class but I can't remember her name

Diavolo Dance Workshop

So my dance school has gotten the amazing opportunity to take a dance workshop with the Diavolo Dance Theater! I’m beyond excited! And we’re also going as a group to their show. I love that their coming to our small town. To me it feels like a once in a life time experience!

Diavolo was founded in 1992 and have performed all over the world and have had many appearances on TV. They mix dance with acrobatics and have some amazing props.

Here’s a link to their website and demo video.

I can’t wait for Thursday! It’s going to be amazing 🙂

I’m running a 5k..but not just any 5k

It’s the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Fun Run/Walk!! It’s a virtual 5k. Which means you can run it on your own, or you can walk it. You could also do it on the treadmill or a the elliptical. Where ever you want.

I’m going to run it. We’ve mapped out a path through town that is 5k.

I’m super excited! I’m a major Doctor Who fan so this is perfect for me. And it will be my first 5k!

You get this super cool medal with the Tardis on it, a t-shirt that says “Companion in Training” and a number you can pin to your shirt if you want. You don’t have to log a time or anything. You just sign up and that’s it.

With all the things I’m seeing for the 50th Anniversary I’m going to explode with excitement!! BOOM!!! That was me exploding 🙂

I’m so excited for them to bring back the past doctors (especially David Tennet hehe) but I heard that Matt Smith is going to be wearing a wig. I feel like that going to be kind of weird. I’m mean we all know how amazing his hair was and it just wont be the same. But he’s still amazing!

And Rose. omg! I can’t wait to see if they show us what happened Rose and the mortal Doctor after the Immortal Doctor left! And who was crying at that part? *raises hand

So as you can tell their is a lot of excitement in me right now! I can’t wait to get my medal and t-shirt!

Oh and can November 23rd please come faster?!

I’m Going To Blog School!

Yes, you read that right! There is such a thing as “blog school” and I’m going to it. It’s a 6 month course put together by Rita Barry. Each month we get a new assignment.

We will be learning things like blog foundations, design, creating content, blog growth, social media and monetization. I’m so exited to learn all this!

My ultimate goal is to create a lifestyle blog for girls that are up to stuff and want to feel great and look fabulous too. I plan to cover fashion, beauty, travel and lots more .

I also want to have a successful fashion-based YouTube channel, combining that with my blog so I can have a double income stream! Wouldn’t that be nice?

I think that Blog School will be a great start for me! Can’t wait to get going!

The Youtube Channel Is Back

So I’ve decided that I’m going to be doing youtube again! As you might recall about a month or so ago I said I was dropping youtube. But I also said that I might be starting it up again.

So I looked at my schedule and I figured out that I do have time to film, and edit and upload. I’m so excited to be doing this again and I can’t wait to see where it takes me!

Here is link to my channel:

Please go have a look and subscribe. I would really appreciate it!

First Week Of The Dance Year

Yay! We made it through the first week of dance. The first week is always the craziest, everyone one is trying to make sure their in the right class, lost of people have questions, the waiting room is packed, and most of the classes don’t start right on time. But that’s totally normal and it kind of adds to the excitement of your first week back to dance after the summer!

This year is going to be amazing! It’s my senior year and I decided to go all out at take a bunch of classes. I’m currently taking five classes: tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet, and lyrical. So that’s five dances in the recital. Plus a friend and I might be doing a contemporary duet together so that would six, and if I do a senior dance then that would be seven dances. What?! That’s crazy, but really exciting!

It means a lot of costumes, probably some quick changes, and the amazing memories I’ll have of this year with my dance family. And probably some crying at recital.

River and Sky are taking a bunch of classes this year too. River has tap, jazz and hip hop. And Sky has ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical. Both of them are also assistants this year and I’m so proud of them. River helps with little girls hip hop and Sky helps with a little girls ballet and tap class.

Even though I’m a senior it does not mean I’m gonna stop dancing at the end of this year. Dance will always be a part of my life. I will always have dance and I am so grateful for that. At times it’s a great escape to just take your mind of things and a wonderful way to express your emotions.

I’m really happy and excited about this year and I can’t wait to see where it goes.
